Hyperhidrosis affects the quality of life of approximately 5% of the world’s population, but current home devices for treating hyperhidrosis are too specialized and complex to provide a soothing and relaxing experience. For this reason, Crestron has partnered with Dermadry to create the Dermadry Total machine therapy tray, a more user-friendly device for people with hyperhidrosis that combines experience and performance.

The new all-in-one Dermadry Total machine therapy tray, a key component of Dermadry’s tap water electrolysis (TWI) equipment, was required to be both aesthetically pleasing and functional so that it could help patients become more health conscious and provide a soothing and relaxing therapy experience.

Dermadry evaluated several materials for this important component, including ABS resin and polypropylene, and ultimately selected Costco’s Mocklon® 2458 medical-grade polycarbonate as the supporting material for the treatment tray of its Dermadry Total machine.

Moldclone® 2458 medical grade polycarbonate offers excellent impact resistance, clarity and quality, in addition to being suitable for steam sterilization, providing a high flow, easy release experience, design flexibility and compliance with several ISO 10993 required biocompatibility assessments.
