Twin Screw Compounding Line

A twin screw compounding line is an industrial processing system that melts, mixes, modifies, and homogenises polymer materials using two intermeshing screws inside a twin screw extruder. The line combines polymer resins with additives, fillers, fibres, pigments and other functional materials to produce compounded plastic pellets with controlled physical, mechanical and processing properties.

A typical line consists of a feeding system, a twin-screw extruder, dosing and mixing units, heating and cooling systems, an extrusion die, a pelletising system and a control system. The two screws provide efficient conveying and mixing, allowing manufacturers to achieve consistent material composition and stable processing performance.

Depending on the formulation and production requirements, the line can process materials such as polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), polyamide (PA), polycarbonate (PC), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), and other thermoplastics. High Filler Masterbatch is made of talc, calcium carbonate, kaolin, and other inorganic powder compounding with resin and lubricants through twin-screw pelletization. It is widely used in polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polyester, ABS, PS, EVA blown barrels, pipes, wire series, films, strapping, injection molding, extrusion, and so on.
