PVC Rigid Sheet Extrusion Line: Imitation Marble Composite Materials
The technical term for imitation marble material is “calcium powder high-filled PVC composite material”. The current popular names are: “stone plastic material”, “high calcium material”, “imitation marble material” and so on.

The thickness of the imitation marble sheet is 2mm-5.0mm, and it is generally a homogeneous solid material. The thicker the product, the better the performance and the higher the cost.
Imitation marble wire, generally 3 meters long, solid or hollow in cross-section (surface co-extruded PVC), most of which are hollow.

Key Points of Imitation Marble (Stone Plastic) Production Technology
- Selection of section
The first type is fully solid. This is because it consumes more materials and there are fewer manufacturers.
The second type is that the row cavity is a special-shaped hole with uniform wall thickness. The calcium powder added to the product is relatively small, which saves materials.
The third type of row cavity is round holes, of which round holes are divided into two types, type A is a round hole, and type B is the combination of the ellipse and round hole. Type B is more material-saving than type A. There are many such products on the market.
- It is recommended to choose co-extrusion on the surface of the product for the following reasons:
- The amount of heavy calcium is large, and the texture of the calcium powder is blue-gray. If the surface of the product is hot-stamped with light-colored patterns, the light-colored film cannot cover the natural color of the calcium powder, which will affect the quality of the product.
- To consume inventory waste or save costs, general manufacturers will add some waste and recycled materials (plastic steel materials, small pipe materials, gusset materials, etc.) to the raw materials. Impurities are unavoidable in the recycled materials, and the impurities are easily exposed to the product during production. The surface will affect the hot stamping of the product and increase the scrap rate.
- Because the amount of calcium powder added is relatively large, chemical components such as wax are more likely to precipitate on the surface of the product, which affects the hot stamping effect, and even the adhesion between the hot stamping film and the product is not strong.

The filling amount of calcium powder is generally 250 parts to 400 parts, and it is heavy calcium plus light calcium (the surface co-extruded calcium powder is about 100 parts).
Extrusion Equipment And Hot Stamping Machine
The conventional configuration is a 65-cone twin-extruder and 51-cone twin-extruder, and the co-extruder is a 45 single-screw machine.
The extruder is not demanding, but it is necessary to ensure that the main engine screw can plasticize the high calcium formula. The existing profile production line or gusset production line can be transformed and produced. Each production line can be equipped with 4-10 sets of online hot stamping machines.
Plant Structure And Water And Electricity Installation Requirements
- The wall height of the factory building is above 4 meters, the minimum length of the main workshop is 30 meters, and the minimum width is 6 meters;
- The minimum length of the mixing workshop and raw material warehouse is 6 meters, and the minimum width is 6 meters;
- The surface treatment workshop requires a minimum length of 12 meters and a minimum width of 6 meters;
- The required total area of the finished product warehouse is 500 square meters;
The total area of the above workshop is 1000 square meters. Taking into account the increase of equipment and the transportation of products, it is recommended that the minimum total area of the workshop is not less than 1500 square meters, and the length in at least one direction is not less than 30 meters.
During the production process of product extrusion, there will be constant heat generation. The cooling method selected here is water cooling. One 50-ton cooling wind tower can be installed outdoors, with an installation area of 16 square meters and a minimum installation height of 1 meter. The cooling tower is connected to the indoor equipment through pipes. The main pipe can be 2 inches and a half or 3-inch steel pipe. The branch pipe can be determined according to the size of the water pump inlet of the equipment. The drainage pipe can first use a 110mm PVC pressure pipe.
Mixers, tractors, cutting machines, and automatic packaging racks all use air pressure. Generally, PP-R pressure pipes or PVC pressure pipes, or steel pipes are used for gas pipes. The minimum pressure resistance of the pipes should be 1.25Mpa, and pipes with Ф20mm can be used.
